Transfer of land to the Congregation by Pierre Boucher

Bourg de Boucherville (Boucherville), New France (Quebec), 7 March 1705.
Transfer of land to the Congregation by Pierre Boucher

Pierre Boucher, seigneur of Boucherville, ceded to the Sisters of the Congregation a piece of land eighty feet along its front and one hundred and seventy feet deep which was situated near the church and where a small chapel was constructed in honour of the Blessed Virgin. The transaction took place two years after the opening of the first convent, under the supervision of Pastor Pierre-Rodolphe Guibert de la Saudraye. Before this permanent installation, the Sisters had come to this location during their journeying missions.
