Manuscript's title : "Le Vray Esprit de Marguerite Bourgeoys et de lInstitut des Surs Séculières de la Congrégation de Notre-Dame établi à Ville-Marie en lIsle de Montréal en Canada" written in 1701.
Charles de Glandelet, priest, preacher, writer, teacher and secretary to Bishop de Saint-Vallier, was the Congregations Superior. He wrote the first biography of Marguerite Bourgeoys shortly after her death, using testimonies and recollections of contemporaries of the foundress of the Congrégation de Notre-Dame. This work was not published until 1976, but served as an important reference for biographies that were subsequently written.
