De la politesse au pensionnat (Boarding School Manners), a book written by Madame la Comtesse Drohojowska, born Symon de Latreiche (2e edition revised and corrected by the author, Paris, V. Sarlit, 1864) was part of the library collection of the Yamachiche boarding school. From the 17th to the 19th century, numerous treatises and manuals on the art of savoir-vivre and etiquette were published. They made known the rules of practical and acceptable behaviour in society.
